All I've got is from the weather channel. They did not go into detail because they left when the water went over 332 and they were in Clute all night. I'm not in control of the TV (my friend's daughter MUST watch I Love Lucy), but I'll pass it on when I do.

I saw video this morning and the road was dry again from the levee to the surfside bridge. That's about all I could tell. You could could see the dry-stacks on either side of the bridge.

They havent totally cleared blue water highway yet but they are about to start sending deputies that way to start checkin
right now the roads are considered closed per DOT and BCSO. Status on any structures on and around surfside is unclear but the deputies should start coming in with reports soon

Just reported 20 homes collapsed in Surfside.

Surfside update.

Mayor of Surfside is on 13 right now. Says they lost 40 homes out of 950, most near or on the beach. Had quite a few suffered varying degrees of damage. He stated the overall damage was a lot less than he had feared.

cnn is broadcasting footage of khou flyover in the area... some are totally gone, some with heavy damage, most still standing... flyover is heading north towards SLP
