I thought to pop in & say "Hi".

Question for you guys , I am going on my first offshore to the floaters trip . Plan to chunk for yellow fin .

Do you guys crimp or snail your hooks & which size , style would you recommend

Welcome aboard! I am not an expert on this topic since my trips and success at the floaters is limited, but the yellowfin are very wary. You will want to do your best to hide the hook and any associated tackle. Use flourocarbon leaders. I went on one trip where a guy caught five YFT while chunking. I think he used a 5/0 hook and hid it deep in small chunks of BFT. He let it drift as naturally as he could. If you crimp, you gotta hide it in the chunked bait.
