New Explorer TV21

In process of rigging out 2006 Explorer TV21/ 150 -4 stroke suzuki, and would like some imput on several items. Is anyone familiar with Garmin 178c or Hummingbird787C2, combo gps chartploter/ fishfinder, is so what is your suggestions? Second should trim tabs or whale tail be considered on this boat? Have spoke to corresponded with several on second subject, but would lke more input.

Trim Tabs are a must for the TV Explorers. MAkes it ride very good in rough water by sticking rhe V in the chop.

I also have a shallow blaster but I never ran it without one so I don't know how much it helps.
