Trim Tabs are a must for the TV Explorers. MAkes it ride very good in rough water by sticking rhe V in the chop.

I also have a shallow blaster but I never ran it without one so I don't know how much it helps.

I haven't seen an Explorer without some kind of blaster on it. Tabs help, too. I use the fixed tabs that double as a step to help get into the boat.

For electronics, contact JTBURF on this board. I couldn't beat his prices. I run the Garmin 192C GPS and Raymarine DS600 depth finder...the combo units are fine if they have 12" screens...just too much info for 5" of screen.

Spend the money and get some hydraulic or electric trim tabs. It will make a huge difference. I like the Benetts better but have had pretty good luck with Lenco too.

Hydraulic steering will be worth the $.

Put a Bob's jackplate on it, too. A good prop and a cavitation plate and you should be good to go.

On my 22' Shoalwater I put on a set of neg trim wedges, any of ya'll using them on the Explorers?

You buying it from Busha?
