I have a Color Laserjet 4550N that is having printing problems. Everything comes out smeared. Does anybody know how to get this fixed without breaking the bank?

...are you by chance using different paper?.....maybe just take out color cartridge...place back in and redo the new cartridge calibrations.

check ....start..settings....printers....right click on your printer....properties...click advanced and check that your ink volume isn't set to heavy

my canon went all whacky, and I replaced all 4 cartridges, cleaned the print nozzels, and it started working fine again.

Probably a bad fuser. It heats the ink (dries it so it doesn't smear).
