Well, figured I would get the ball rolling on a new roof. Any 2coolers got a line on a good roof person? (or any 2coolers in the roofing business?) I lost quite a few shingles and there is significant damage to certain areas.

Also, what to look for in a new roof? I know the energy standards and code has changed since my house was built (15+ yrs ago) Anything I need to pay particular attention to when putting on a new roof? Im hoping to drop my electric bill some with some with a good energy efficient roof.

Thanks in advance.

I want to be 2nd in line! My son in laws house had considerable roof damage and will be in need of a quality roofer real soon. I hope there are some quality 2coolers in the roofing business. If so, please contact us at your earliest convenience.

He will also need a sheetrock contractor, painter, trim carpenter, insulator, and countertop person.
Thanks

To All:

Graziano Roofing of Texas, Inc.
4134 Pinemont Dr.
Houston, TX 77018

713-686-9007
800-684-7663 (ROOF)

Please be patient, as there are many obstacles to be overcome. Initially everyone will be focused on temporary cover up and repair until the adjusters can get in to start writing claims. There will be an immediate shortage of material, as all suppliers were already on allocations for shingles.

I will try to get to everyone as soon as possible, and have help coming in from our California and Florida locations.

I don't know if I even have power at my Houston Office yet so it may help to call the toll free number which rings to our California office which will help with the overload.

Regards

Adam

I recommend Kiker and Sons Roofing, Houston, TX (713) 686-4954.

Darrel replaced the roof on our Tiki Island house two years ago, and is a neighbor a few doors down. He exceeds all codes and also gets the permits and inspections necessary for you, and sends you the warranty on your roof.

I used to build custom homes, and if I had known him then, he would have had all of our business because of his professionalism and attention to detail.

Paul Priest with Remedy Roofing.

His Austin line is 512.801.8254, he has a Houston line but it hasn't been working since the storm. He just recently relocated to Austin via Rosenberg but I talked to him today and he said he's on the way down there with 10 crews (~90 workers) from the Austin area. He said he bought as many tarps and other materials as he could in Austin to help out with temporary repairs until the roofs can get put on. He is the absolute friendliest, fair, and most accommodating roofer I know. And, I don't refer people unless I know they are the best.

I don't think you'll be able to do much effiency wise (other than add ridge vents)without replacing all the decking and replacing it with the kind with some heat shield on it.

I still have my old crew here in Lufkin if you have something here. You just pm me and I'll get you a number. You buy the material and he does the work. He is fast and high quallity. No roof to steep or to big. Composit roofs only. I used him for 7 years he shows when he says he will.
