Since Ike, I've only done 1 rod...it was a Christmas gift for a friends SIL....He is a Volunteer Fireman in Deer Park, so we used that for a theme. He also went to U of H, so I made space for that emblem too.
It is my 7' casting spiral setup with EVA grips.
Really came out light and feels nice. Not a real fancy rod (for me lol), but it felt good doing it. Painted reel seat and the rod is clearcoated to the first guide to help protect the decals. I did paint the rod yellow where it is exposed in the grip and under the deco wrap..keeping a red and yellow fireman theme.The decals are all my dry transfers, which allows me to do color or foils.
