I finally finish it and have it post in the rod building forum for those of you interested. It just might work.

Better get a reel on it quick. By sun down Saturday the flow will be 4000 cfs and still falling.

I'll take 4, for a bucket of crappie? Good looking rod, how heavy of a cork are you going to use?
Don't know how much those things wiegh, I would guess an oz. I did test throw it and it seemed to work fine, so far. I did add 3/4 oz. egg sinker to it but it seem to go further with less wieght. By the way it was casting it seems to be more of a slab or spoon throwing rod. I wish I'ld taken a slab with me but didn't. I did manage about 120 yds on my cast but that was stepping it off on the bank and guessing. But it is in one piece still.
