My dog died today. She was 15 years old. She sat at my feet for many hours while I wrapped fishing rods. She helped me through some hard times when I was all alone except for her. She loved me unconditionally no matter what. I will miss her and I will be lonely. Please pray that she goes to doggy heaven.
Thanks
Pat

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure she is already in doggy heaven looking down on you giving you inspiration for your next rod. Build her one in her memory. Might make both of y'all feel better.

I read a story that I know is true. When you best friend passes away they go to a place just outside of heaven. There is no pain or discomfort. There are birds to chase and other best friends to keep them company. They stay there until one day they hear a familar voice and run across the soft green grass to meet you. This day you and your best friend walk together into heaven and all problems are behind you. Don't despair for one day you will see her again. May take awhile but she will wait, not to worry.

Really sorry to hear that. They say when it rains theres a spirit entering heaven, so you know she made it. Good luck and god bless.

Here is a poem from an unknown author. So sorry for your loss.

  • RAINBOW BRIDGE

    (Author Unknown)
  • Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an
animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so they can run and play together. There is
plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and
    comfortable.

All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health
and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong
again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times
gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small
thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be
left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when
one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are
intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him
faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your
special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
    never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more
into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but
    never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together ...

Thanks to all of you. She was old and had cataracts and couldn't hear much but she always tried to bounce and play a little bit. I will miss her but I know her suffering is over.
