Does the Murk Layer continue all the way to the bottom or is there some good water once you swim through it. I am having trouble getting to the red snapper because of this Murk Layer

it depends, sometimes it is off the bottom say 20 feet, or it can have a clear area before the bottom. My best fish usually are right above the murk, just wait and usually the sows will pop out of it now and then. Most people are scared to go into the murk. Just hug a leg and go through it, watch your depth gauge. Hope this helps
I have seen the murk layer go all the way to the bottom and I've seen it "holding" up in the water column with clear water under it. Depending on the depth I usually try to drop into it and check things out. Worse case it's to murky to see anything and you head back up. Best case you can see well enough in it to hunt and shoot.
