IH 10 Construction/Traffic Control Notification
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday, July 30, 2007
There will be alternating lane closures of northbound and southbound SH-6 between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road and MEMORIAL Tuesday, July 31 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. SH-6 northbound and southbound traffic between GRIGSBY and BARKERS POINT will be reduced to one lane nightly from 8 PM to 5 AM, Wednesday, August 1 to Friday, August 3.
. Two lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlines between SH-6 and ELDRIDGE will be closed beginning 8 PM, Friday, August 3 until 5 AM, Saturday, August 4 as contractors transition the existing I-10 eastbound mainline traffic onto new pavement.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from PARK TEN will be closed effective 9 PM, Friday, August 3 until further notice. Motorists will now have to access I-10 eastbound via the entrance ramp from SH-6.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to ELDRIDGE will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, August 3 until 5 AM, Monday, August 6.
. There will be alternating lanes closed on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between SH-6 and ELDRIDGE beginning 5 AM, Saturday, August 4 until 5 AM, Sunday, August 5.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 10 PM, Saturday August 4 until 6 AM, Sunday, August 5. Northbound traffic will detour east on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Eldridge, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to access SH-6, southbound traffic will detour west on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Park Ten, U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access SH-6.

Man that is a lot of closures. Glad I live in the boonies. Only time we have closures here is when it rains 19 inches overnight
