I will tell you what Mando, the flourocarbon held up to all of the abuse during this last weekend with the spanish macks. Its good stuff. Very stiff though and hard to tie nice knots with it. But, its very good leader material. I just started crimping it together at the later part of my trip.

Hey Skipjack double check your package and make sure that it was FC and not mono leader material. For some reason I remember looking at the package when I grabbed some out on the jetty and thinking to myself that it was pretty tough for mono.

Regardless of mono or FC if it is packaged and sold as leader material it is much tougher than regular line and a different product. I was using Big Game 50# as leader and it got shredded over and over, when I switched to 60# leader material it never got cut again.
