This is the first year that I have applied for MLD permits. I was wondering if anybody has got theres in yet, when I could expect them. I am hunting in Leon County (Centerville) I mailed the application to TPW department in Jasper. Thanks for any information.

It depends...have you been assigned a biologist yet, or hired one? They are changing the whole system to be online this year. In the past our biologist would have a stack of permits for us. This year supposedly we will be able to go online and print the permits off as needed based on our biologist's recomendations. So far they are not available, but he promises they will be available on line by the season opener next weekend.

Also ... the State is handling the distibution out of Austin this year, we have not received ours as of yet either.
Also ... It's important that you have your census counts done at least four times a year, it greatly influences the number of tags you'll recieve.
Have you had a biologist look at the property?
