I got a 1995 yamaha 200 proV and im tryin to see if 1.5-1.9 is normal.Anybody with an early 93-98 yamaha 200 know what your getting per gallon.

Sounds about right to me. You didn't mention what rpms, but that range sounds right. Maybe 2.1 mpg is you take it on the rpm

hpdi's like 3600-3800 pretty well, just ckd mine tues......noticeable increase over 4000rpms on a yami fuel mgmnt guage 16.5 gph up to 21 gph in that short range.

I had a Yamaha 200 on a 22' Century that I averaged 1.75-2. I usually ran as fast as conditions allowed without being in WOT.(I do recall always being over 4100 - 4600, I think.

That most be a great motor, if it is averaging those numbers for most. The other good thing is mine didn't even smoke or smell fumey like some and wasn't noisy in my opinion. (If I would have had 2 of them, I would have kept the boat)

My old 1996 225 yamaha averages 2 to 2.5 running around 4200 rpm on calm days. 3600 to 4400 seems best any slower or faster and fuel burn goes way up.

Shoot, if i can get 2+ mpg running under 4000 rps ,i think thats what ill try next time im out.Isnt there something you can put in your fuel to help out with the mpg`s also.
