I have heard of a Cactus Buck before but never seen one. Very rare and awesome trophy! That would be a challenge for a taxidermist to preserve or restore that velvet. Congrats!

Nice cactus buck. From what I understand, due to a hormone inconsistancy, their antlers are always growing. This means that they never rub the velvet off, and they never drop their antlers and grow new ones either. Some very big/freaky racks can develop on older cactus bucks.

They're strange indeed. My neighbor killed one in Mason Co. last week. One of the antlers fell off when it hit the ground. It too had no nuts but it had a penis. Also big teets like a doe. Very strange.
