Tomorrow me and my crew are planning on going to Matagorda beach for a weekend fishing trip. Has anyone been there lately that can comment on the sargassum situation? Is the surf fishable? The weather prediction is looking great this weekend. It will actually be my first trip of the summer, I finally got some time...

Thanks. I had looked at that thread last night, but didn't check its update this morning. Seems like there would be little to no weed if they are catching trout, which I'll have to try also, in between the shark hookups. =)
