Ive been running a Kubota but its getting old. I found a good deal on a Mahindra. Any Mahindra owners out there? Should I stay with kubota?

I had a Kubota and it was a great tractor...... right up until it was stolen. I replaced it with a Mahindra because I could get a pretty good deal on it and the warranty was better than Kubota or John Deere. I've had it since 2015 and it's been very reliable.

The only thing I've heard on operating a mahindra is it gives the operator a good workout. The controls and handles make your really reach for them.

Now on the maintenance, it took a while to get serviced. Parts were scarce.

I don't drive tractors, just dozers and skid steers. But the ranch has a mahindra. My 2cents.

Son in law had a 35 hp mahindra. Bought used as a "reconditioned" tractor from a Mahindra dealer. He worked the Crappie outta that thing!. Held up pretty well considering the work he put it through. Had it for about 10 yrs and had to put a clutch in it and a few minors like cylinder seals etc.

Mahindra has Chinese and Indian made tractors. The small stuff is Chinese and the larger tractors are Indian. The Indian tractors are heavy and basic. Not too many dealers, but parts should be available. If you don’t need top quality or all the bells and whistles, a mahindra may work for you. They are not a bad tractor, but aren’t the best either. I’d stay with kubota, maybe even find a nice used one.

Your money, your choice.

I have run both in the past few weeks in the comparable feature and HP range. the Kubota hands down was the stranger machine and was set up much more operator friendly. The Hydro system on the Kubota seemed much stronger as well when lifting round bails and such with the 3 point and FEL. The big thing to consider if buying new is look to see who has a TIER 4 unit without a regen system. There are a few out there. Or go lightly used for an older machine. There are 2 lightly used Kubotas up for sale in an estate sale in Alvin now. a 54HP & a 30. Both 4WD with Loaders and implements. Ill try and find the link but Jeters old world and liquidation is handling the sale if you want to try and find it.

I have a new 49hp mahindra with 4x4and frontend loader. It's pretty much plain jane old school and I like it. It weighs in at around 7000 lbs. after pricing different brands and for how I use a tractor the mahindra was the best for me. There is a big difference in the pric of mahindra and kabota.

Don't buy a larger mahindra!!!!!!! I purchased a 105hp kept it 18 months & had 17 service tickets. My dealer finally backed them in a corner and made them give me a next smaller 95 Hp model trade-out. it ran approx.85 hours and now the 3pt lift is going out, (yes under warranty but you have a tractor in the shop). I have hear their smaller (less than 55 hp) tractors are the bomb but I wouldn't go larger. All that being said I know several guys with Kabotas, JD's that are having lots of trouble. bottom line tractors are assembled from parts from all over the world, yes even JD, not Made in America, assembled in America. Mahindra is assembled in Houston, bottom line go talk to the dealer he is the guy that will make it right or blame somebody else & leave you hanging.
