I will be in Port A in early September.
Dont have the funds for a private charter so I'll be taking a trip on one of the head boats.

Any recommendations on which is better, what to stay away from, gear that I should take along, bait I should take along?

I have gone on the pelican which is small and basic but fast and has great service. The adventurer was also a good service boat with good accomodations. Caught good fish on both. That time of year should be slow for tourism so it should not be too crowded.

I would go out with any of the Deep Sea Headquarters boats or the Adventurer. Dolphin Docks would be another place to look at.

The Pelican is out of DSH, but is running a lot of private charters these days and might not be available. They have 2 other boats that are good, Kingfisher and Gulf Eagle. I would take a trip on either of those. I have been out many times on these boats and have always caught fish and had a good time.

I got a 12 hr day trip on the Dolphin Express.
Now l hope we get on some fish!
