Hey everybody,
I'm in the market for a new laptop.
One that i can play games on and that can handle the memory hog AutoCad.
I'm looking for something that will be wireless also. When the laptop says "wireless" that means it will work in WIFI hotspots correct? And it will need a CD/DVD-RW combo.
I've done some looking and i really like the dell XPS, It's a tad on the high side as far as pricing goes.

Right now Fry's has one under $500. I would just add some more memory and you would be set. I don't remember the brand (but it was HP or Compaq or another big name). Very good deal.

I may have to check them out. If it comes with a CD/DVD-rw and wireless i may go that way. I'm also looking at installing a wireless router at the house. Right now we only have one computer hooked up to roadrunner.
I've heard good things about linksys routers and that they arre pretty cheap. What should i look for in a wireless router?

I think it did come with cd/burner.

No, it was I think $499 and in the stores, not on outpost yet. They ran an ad on TV, so I had to look when I was in the store...but I look at so many hard to remember everything.
