Anybody know when that will take place? All I'm hearing is they are not letting anyone in. Just from what I hear, it's not worth the risk running my boat over there outlaw style to check things out on my own. What are my rights as a property owner? I also heard rumors of the military putting a portable bridge at rollover, ferry landings damaged, ferrys need to be inspected before they carry the public accross etc. I would like to go over this weekend to assess, tarp, and "look and leave." I guess I will also need a recent water bill and or electric bill as proof of ownership? Thanks for any help, my wife and I are going nuts with this waiting, not hearing anything from the "authorities." With all the coverage on Galveston, it sure seems a lot of people and places are being ignored.

I understand they will be letting people past the rollover bridge into Crystal Beach starting Thursday from 6 am to 2 pm, then everyone has to be gone by 4 pm. This was from a Txdot phone call. I am planning on coming down Friday afternoon and going over Saturday.

I just called the Galveston County Sherrif's office and they said it will not happen tomorrow morning...maybe Friday.
