I dunno, but several years ago we would catch a sail or two in that area.

 

Still there

It's still there, just gets forgotten by those going deeper.

 

the galveston party boats used to fish it, when they stopped(tied up) to catch blackfin, but now they dont stop there. and its a bit to deep to bottom fish.

 

So I am guessing it is still a pretty solid blackfin spot but with the lack of other activity and with yellowfin just a bit further but a different heading it has been written off by most these days. I guess it is a gamble (like everything else in fishing) but with less pressure, could pay good dividends. Thanks for the replies.

I would not rule out the occasional YFT school there...they are known to also show up around Cerveza and Tequilla!

 

Little Sister has not been forgotten. Might not be party boats but plenty of traffic nonetheless.
