Looking for a little help with my Lowrance Sonar / GPS.
The sonar seems to be cutting in and out, it happens pretty rarely, but enough to make me want to get it fixed. This past trip, we were in the ship channel and it was reporting a depth of 9 ft, then instantly corrected itself to 45 ft. Other times it just blinks and does not read. Other times it shows nothing but black like it is not getting a signal.
The model is a LC X-19C and I believe is original to the boat, probably new in 2005.
I'm thinking its the transducer (transom mount), so should I start by replacing it? How do I know what transducer to get, and can it be upgraded to a more powerful transducer?
