Hi All,

New to shark fishing and new to the equipment. I have been fishing with some smaller reels but picked up a couple in the big boy category (Penn 6/0 and Diawa 900) and was wondering about line. Should I go with a dacron, braid, mono or what? I'd like to move this up into the 50# area rather than the 30#
i presently have.

50lb big game... and 80lb suffix tritanium top shot on both..but thats just my opinion lol

That's what I was thinking as well. Just didn't know if the thinner braids were worth it.

Never use dacron. I have 50# big game on both my 6/0s. Alot of guys here swear by Power Pro but if cost is a factor stick with mono...
