This weather has definitely put a damper on my time on the water and have caused me to reschedule several guide trips....
I did get out a few times couple recon trips and one guide trip.
1st day of recon was to see what the crappie were up too and the 2nd day was to see what it would take to put some white bass in the boat.
The crappie were almost non-responsive although I found several they were very lethargic and seemed to be asleep but I did get a few to react and eat my jig after keeping my jig in their face several seconds....
The recon white bass trip resulted in a full limit of some really nice sand bass they were schooling good and with the right action it was non-stop drag peeling.
My clients wanted to do a combo trip but we didn't waste a bunch of time fishing for crappie as their attitude was exactly the same. The white bass definitely fill the ticket and clients had a blast.....We did have to work more to entice them to eat than on my recon trip....
Water is still off color with some current and the temps ranged from 43 to 45°.
