Lake Calcasieu - Condition?

I have a trip for four planned for late October. Does anyone know the condition of Lake Calcasieu? Is there a lot of stuff floating in the lake? Is it dangerous?

Lake Calcasieu

I just got off the phone with Capt. Kirk Stansell and they took a worse hit than from Rita....All of the downstairs was affected but the upstairs quarters are o.k....The phones should be working by tomorrow and they will be up and running again next Tuesday..........Check out their website for more info.......www.hackberryrodandgun.com...............Capt.
