I just checked out a 1999 28' Kevla Cat w/ twin 1999 225 yamaha's(95 hours) to purchase. It has all Furono electronics (sounder,36 mile radar,VHF,GPS).It has a 2001 loadmaster trailer.The boat is in great condition, the only downside is that it has no livewell or fish boxes.The boat has been set up for diving and the fish box is a 336 qt. SSI cooler mounted in the middle of rear deck. I can purchase this boat for 58,500. I would like some input if this is a fair price from some of the seasoned boat owners.

we have one that has no fish boxes and has a cuddy cabin. ours is set up with a bench seat on the port side and a table behind that. on the starboard side is the controls and the helm with a captains chair. then a sink and storage area. we have a live well in the middle of our transom. our boat is at kresta marine in clute if you want to check it out. i assume the motors are carbed yamaha saltwater series. our boat has the 300 gallons of fuel option and it gives us the range to fish the floaters. to me the price is 10000 to high if it has a decent trailer. boats are solid but not fancy. with the lighter 2 strokes you shouldn't a water intrusion problem with the engines. we are currently in the process of raising our motors to eleminate our problems with water intrusion. email me with any other questions you might have and i will do my best to give you an honest reply....rick

Kevlacat was building a 24 footer with twin Marinized Buick V-6's in it. They were working on the prototype this time last year. I bought another boat and did not keep up with their progress. It was very interesting though.

Overpriced. If I wanted a cat,I'd look at world cat and glacier bay first. Be sure and test drive in real world conditions first.

Heck, on my income I don't even think of a new boat muchless a top of the line rig.

Hey Snagged, I don't believe I mentioned or said "new" boat. The quality IMO is generally better in WC or GB, sorry if it offends in owners.

I admit I can't afford a top of the line used or new rig. As to offense to owners everybody has an opinion and everybody is free to be offended.
