I fished the incoming tides - water at 79 and visibility about 6 inches wind 15t to 18 mph. fished from 9am till 1 pm. When I arrived I notice the do not cross yellow plastic signs but a cop there had no problem with me using the kemah side bridge at 146 so , off I went . first stop ¼ mile at aquarium restaurant but I kept getting hung up , second stop was at no wake zone the mouth of channel near the red channel marker #2 half mile away from ramp

I use dead squid and managed 22 croaker , one 14 inch drum and two 15 inch sand trout , two large gafftop

beautiful day on the water .. go slow 5mph and you be fine . I saw 5 other boats on the water fishing .

Tasty mess of fish, bet that Gatorade has a nice twang now, LOL.

Do you fillet or leave the skin on the croaker? I used to scale, de-head, gut and then fry the carcass, the tails and fins were my favorite.

Those croakers are mighty tasty. I like to just just gut it and throw it on the grill. Once the scales burn off you have lots of nice flesh inside to pick at.
