Anybody check out the Fireworks display @ the Kemah Boadwalk last night. We ate outside and saw the show during dinner. I didn't even know it was going on, (but I had to play it off like it was included in my dinner plans!) Turns out that, there is a show every Friday night in June and July @ 9:30pm. Allot of boats went out in the bay around the barge where they shoot them. Seems like a good booze cruise to me!

We saw em

Badhabit and I saw em last night as we were scooting across the bay heading back in. Pretty neat deal there, we could see them clearly from the North End of Trinity. May have to take the kids out on the bay one evening so they can see it, sneak a few rods in the boat as well. lol

See the show every year. Got a big one planned out for the 4th of July.
Lot of pepes whine about Tillman, but Rock the Dock on Thursdays, Fireworks on Fridays, we did the Family Movie Nights.....less than 5 minutes away, hard to beat that most times. Yeah, it's a trap LOL but locals know who to play the game.

Boats

Not to hijack this thread but I have always thought it would be cool to have a boat slip that you could tie off in and spend the day at Kemah and then cruise home that way. I know they had some before they brought in that big boat but it would be cool to have like a day rate slip. I know many times we have driven from Baytown to Clear lake via the water and the kids always want to do the Kemah rides but there is no where to tie off the boat, especially if you expect it to be there when you get back. lol Paclhofer, get Tillman on the line and make it happen. lol

Zac you can tie off in the channel that runs into the marina behind the boardwalk. Step out and you're right at the Aquarium's front door. No wakes to bounce your boat while you're gone and I have not heard of any vandalism either.

Call the Kemah Marina

I called there about the 4th of July stuff last year, and if you call the harbor early enough and tell them you want to dock to go eat or ride rides, they will do their best to accomodate you. Have to look the number up on the kemah website though.....

Outriggers...

You can always tie up at Outriggers on the Seabrook side. Just as good a view and much less hassle with the "tourists".
