Finally getting a break in the weather this weekend. Wind and wave forecast are looking good. With the thick sea weed surf fishing is going to be work. So I am planning on paddling offshore. My wife is close to her due date, or I would be paddling the kayak to a rig this weekend. But need to stay close to home. I am going to launch from between the piers at High Island around eight saturday and sunday mornings. Anyone is welcome to paddle along. Don't know yet what we will catch, but maybe a few bull reds and sharks will be around. This time of the year with the sea weed coming in thick triple tail also will be out past the breakers. They are a blast to sight cast from the kayaks.

I'm gonna plan on meeting you there. Last weekend the weather sucked. I know it doesn't make much sense, since I live on a beach where they're catching big trout, but the weed is really bad and the Brazos is dumping alot of fresh, brown stuff after those storms.hopefully those predicted W and NW winds will knock the waves down.
