Just got home from Cabo, had a great time stayed at Rui Palace, great food, drinks and scenery.Fished Thursday on the Minerva 111 with captain Gilbert and deck hand Omar, we were treated great. We caught and released 1 blue marlin (about 9'10'' 180 lbs) also caught 1 dorado about 4'8'' weighing 55lbs fillets are in the freezer. I highly recommend Minerva's they did everything they said and more,(freezing my fish packing it delivering it to hotel ready to go to air port. Will try to post pictures of hotel and fish later

Gilbert definatley knows what he is doing down there.
I'll be there a week from Tuesday. Fishing with Pisces again. You go there once, you'll be there twice.
You'd think folks would take their ONLY son with them, but NOT EVEN AN OFFER.

oh well.

Glad ya'll had a geat trip!

i have heard alot of "mixed" reviews of this place, you liked it i guess. (never actually talked to anyone who has stayed there just what i have read.)
we desided to go to the melia san lucas since we stayed there last time just to "play it safe" i guess
Melia San Lucas is my favorite hotel down there. If you get a big enough group, renting a villa up in Pedregal is the rock star way to go. Check out this site. http://www.cabovillas.com

Did you stay at the all inclusive Melia or just the Melia resort? From the pictures, the regular resort looks very nice, but the all inlcusive one looks a bit dated. I am debating between Melia and Rui Palace, but want an all inclusive.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread.

i stayed at the melia san lucas about 5 yrs ago and they just updated it last year i think (regualr not all inclusive)
it is awesome, cant ask for a better spot on the beach and close (walking distance) to most of the good stuff in town.
they have these new "beds" right next to the pool so you can just layback and stay "sunburn free" (for those of us that burn to easily)
we are going aug 25-29th and aug cant get here fast enough.
I think the Melia at the Cabo Real golf course is all inclusive. The Melia San Lucas is not. Here is the current view about 200 yards west of the Melia San Lucas. I can't wait!

I went at the begining of May. We stayed at Villa Los Geckos in Pedregal. It was a great place. We rented a Jeep to get around and couldn't have had a better time. There are a lot of very nice villas in Pedregal. Next time I go though I think I will try one of the all inclusive places. Can't wait to go back.
