Has anyone got a jet powered Kayak? I have been looking at the Surfango Hawaii GT and the Mokai. Are there others?

They are fun, but they are a compromise craft that's somewhere between a jet ski and a yak. Like any compromise craft, they are lacking in some areas with the intent of meeting the needs of 2 very different crafts. Slower than a jet ski, not as much storage as a yak. Try to test one out before you buy. I know 2 people who bought these to fish with but sold them quickly due to no room for gear/fish storage. Think of it as fishing from an amphicar...

Fishing Kayaks

Yeah.....I thought about the storage space. It did seem a bit limited. So here's another choice to consider: Ocean Kayak Torque Motorized Fishing Kayak. It has a Min-Kota trolling motor unit. Since I'm getting older, and I sold my boat last week, I'm looking for something less labor intensive. I always had a boat and fished.

Here's another option for you. We've made several custom transoms for really small outboards for Kayaks that don't take away any space and weighs less than a jet or trolling motor + battery. These transoms are molded right onto the kayak but don't damage it in any way. Normal price $200-$250 Cougar Marine USA 956-399-3272

I've owned a tourque and it's not as easy to handle.
The battery in the center hatch.
The trolling motor in rear and if you fish shallow it's just an inconvenience. Personally I'd just paddle.
The surfango looks like it was built just for fun.

Next on the list for me is a wingmaster boat
