Now that I have electricty again I can focus my limited mental
capacities on my upcoming DIY Elk hunt in Colorado. I'm going
the first rifle season (Oct 11-15) and I can't wait. If this season
is like previous ones we will be hunting above 10,000 ft and should
get some snow while we are there.
I'm hunting with a buddy that I've hunted with for over 20 years.
I would love to see one of use score on a bull but 10 days in the
mountians with a good friend is what I'm excited about.
To me there is nothing like fair chase (do it yourself) mountian
hunting out west.
Good Luck to everyone this season and I hope we all can have
a safe hunt this year !!!!!! Take Care, Baker

Good luck on the hunt Bev.

What does electricity have to do with mental capacity? You on shock treatments?

I hope you can hunt better than you can fish.

Hey Jammer I'm going to hunt GMU49 near Leadville. It will be
my third trip to 49. First was rifle in 1998 and next was muzzleloader
in 2003. We are going to hunt from horses this time. Later Baker

We are renting horses. Leadville is very high and very rough.
There is a place we have tried to get to in the Buffalo Peaks
wilderness area that is just to far from the trailhead for us
to reach on foot ( we've tried) so we are going in on horseback.
GMU49 has some of the roughest yet most beautiful country
that I've ever hunted. I don't know if my buddy or I will get
a bull or not but I know we will have a great time. I've got to
work tonight and then 3 more nights next week then I'm going
north for some mental and spiritual healing. I'm Pumped

Yea we did ok Todd, I can't complain. We got our power back on yesterday
and I got my roof repairs completed about a week ago. We lost a tree in the
front yard but all things considered we are blessed. Later Buddy
