I just got off the phone with him and he told me that the topwater bite continues to be red hot. They had caught several fish today with the bigger ones going 26" and 28". I can't imagine a 28" trout crashing on a topwater bait.

My time will come...

I am glad to see Aubrey doing what he enjoys and being very successful at it. I wish him the very best. Now if he can point me to one of those bathtub sized blowups, my prayers will have been answered!

Throw on top of that the several hundred pounds of rib eyes he is forced to consume annually from potlickin buddies and he's got a rough life. Chuck I remember the back days too, I remember fishing with him in PA not too long after one of his surgeries and he made the comment how he couldnt do it everyday or something like that. Yea Right! He's definitely got a great life and it couldnt have happened to a better person, I dont care what Karen says! LOL

I remember my brother having back problems. Constant pain and I felt sorry for him all the time. We'd put his Blue Wave on the trailer and the minute we hit Rockport....the pain was GONE! LOL! Wonder if there's a way to bottle the stuff! CF?

Well, the numbers have been down slightly since the heavy rains but I'm really liking the quality of these fat girls. And on topwater to boot. You just gotta love it!

First pic is of a 7# 2oz 28"er I picked up this morning and I believe what I caught it on is obvious.

Second pic is the fish caught by my Uncle George Black. Y'all may remember he had recent open heart surgery. I think the smile proclaims a 100% recovery. Looks like the trout are going to have to look out for him now. This one was a shade over 26". Later, Aubrey

Great to see Uncle George back in buisness Aubrey. And you gotta love them skitterwalks. I now tie on a pearl version and leave it on. Sure makes my box much lighter on them wade expeditions. Guess I should at least throw an extra one in somewhere.

If you throw in a back up, make it a pink one. Capt. Danny Gonzales had been hammering good trout on it and finally gave up his secret after a few adult beverages a while back. The rest is history.

Its really been great seeing my Uncle back in the saddle. He's like his old self and really enjoying his retirement now.
