I am up for a new cell phone contract and want to know what yall use and like. I never drop my phone but I do get it wet from time to time so I'm looking for something a little more water resistant than my Sony Ericsson.
I've looked at the Samsung Rugby and like it but I'm still looking around.

My better half has dropped her phone in water at least twice. Believe it or not, get a bag of cheap white rice, take the back off of the phone, remove the battery and leave it all in the rice for at least 24 hours. The rice absorbs the moisture from the phone. I can't guarantee it will work every time but it has worked for us.

GZ'One Boulder is the toughest phone out there. I have had mine for about 2 years and just got the newer model out since it has blue tooth. I drop my phone multiple times per day and it has been submerged I don't know how many times. Once I was jumping off a house boat at Lake Conroe and forgot it was in my pocket. I was treading water and heard it ring, took it out of my pocket and answered the call. I still have that same phone.

G1

I have a Google G1 phone with a body glove on it. Its got tidal prediction apps by gps and all kinds of other little toys. Anyway bare naked it wouldnt last long in the water. I take it wade fishing all the time and just put it in a small 3 in or so sandwich back that fits perfect. It keeps the saltwater off and you can still see the screen and use all of its functionality.

GS 1 boulder 100% water proof and military grade
The Motorola Tundra and the Samsung Rugby both follow the same military standards as the Boulder.

I know a few people with the boulder and they all love it. Only problem is you have to be on Verizon. AT&T is where its at.

i got the boulder too.........wonder when they will come up with the underwater camera.......
Verizon does have a new phone that is waterproof that does have a camera on it. Supposedly you can take underwater pictures with it. Don't know what its called but I am sure a quick search will turn up what it is if you care for something like that.

My contract is coming up. Im gonna look into this Gzone. My phone has one of those touch screen things instead of buttons, and I hate it. Its probably not even water resistant, but I havent put it to the test. I let my wife pick it out last time, but this time, Im gonna go pick one out. Gzone, or Boulder sound good especially if they have buttons, and are waterproof.
