Any one know if cap'n JOHN "NEVER" FAILS is still in bidness.He was a top guide several years ago outa Corpus?

In the mid 90s i fished w/ him several times each summer.I would fly in from DFW and he would pick me up @ the airport.Man what fine service.He is an excelent guide and is a great host.Sometimes I would go by myself and he would put me up (no charge) in his bayside condo.I sure learned alot from Cap'n Never Fails.He could read working birds and could tell if it was trout or reds just by the way the birds were flying.We fished 9 mile hole and Baffin bay mostly,and the King Ranch shoreline 1 time.Man,I gotta get back down to C.C.Thanks for the replys fellas.John Paul said:

Someone told me the TPWD closed 9 mile hole to a no motor zone.Any info on this?
