Today the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced that Texas taxpayers who were adversely affected by Hurricane Ike qualify for IRS tax relief, including the postponement of tax filing and payment deadlines until Jan. 5, 2009.

Thanks Chickenboy-I left all my tax stuff at house at Jamaica Beach-was aware they already granted 1 WHOLE week to October 22; now January 9, 2009 may give me enough time to get there thanks to Mayor Thomas and LeBlanc-they failed us on access darn it.

Something to Consider.

The IRS allows certain deductions for Catastrophic losses not covered by insurance.

It may be a good time to get the publication and see if you can work this to your advantage.

I wonder if the crusty old farts on this board would start compalining that if you take the tax break, you're "part of the problem!"

In THEIR day, people paid taxes to the COMMUNITY..they didn't expect handouts!!!!
