I am planning on going to the show this weekend in houston. Is anyone else going? Is it worth the drive down there from SA? I know I asked before but would like to repoll you dudes. Any advice is appreciated. I am sure to stop by BPS to visit CaptC, he tells me that he likes to hang out there on weekends shopping for tuna poppers. :p

No chance you'll find me in town on openning weekend of of bow season! I'll be on a cast and thump weekend at our deer lease this weekend. I caught a bunch of trout down there last weekend. If I thump a hog Saturday.....I'll be in the bay fishing Sunday morning!

Argo, I have already been to the show. They have two large tents worth of exhbitors and other smaller tents scattered around the outskirts of the marina.

Texas Sportfishing Yacht Sales has quite a few boats out there, including a new 38' Fountain with trip 275 Verados. They also have their 38' that they fished the SKA with trip 250 xs in the water.

There are a few Luhrs in the water along with your other big name offshore sportfishing boats and quite a few sailboats.

There are just a few smaller boat companies and jet ski displays there on trailers in the parking lots, but not many. The show is mostly geared toward your $100,000 and up boats.

Exhibitors have your typical boat shoes, graphics, insurance, aluminum works, and electronics.

Is the boat show worth coming from SA?? Not sure....... You do have the opportunity to see some boats that would not otherwise be at your usual convention center boat show. If I had the option to fish or go to a boat show....... Fish on!

The sa boat show is definately geared to the 100k and less club. Generally only with a few offshore boats and alot of bay boats. The summer show stunk but the winter show is usually alot bigger than it.
