Went to see my daughter in SA yesterday and she wanted to see "A Christmas Carol" on the IMAX screen at The Palladium. Got our tickets and when we got in, that's when we realized that not only was it on the IMAX screen, it was in 3-D. I had never seen real 3-D before. I have to say, it was pretty slick.

If it weren't for the 3-D, that movie would have been nothing special. This is the latest rendition by Robert Zemeckis (almost always good) starring Jim Carrey (could go either way).

Maybe I've seen too many productions of this same movie. That Tiny Tim character kind of got on my nerves in this one, and I kind of would have liked to see him get run over by a horse and buggy, or something.

This movie is worth seeing just for the IMAX 3D. I agree with viewers reviews that it would be scary for young kids but I enjoyed it. The IMAX 3D version is an extra $4 and the Digital 3D version is an extra $3. I wonder what the difference is?
