After using every lure known to mankind the night before with no success, me and a buddy of mine decided to get even with the trout. Rafts of finger mullet have been showing up in my canal at Terramare Beach and castnetted a couple of dozen and freelined them under the lights. Put the rods in the rodholders, popped the top on a cold one and waited for the party to begin once it got really dark. We wound up with 10 fish up to 22".

Sometimes the only thing they'll eat is pure meat....That's the way I like to catch 'em most of the time anyway.....in between beers. Isn't that right Lobo Jim? lol! CF?

same story at my spot. i throw any lure and only get some taps at topwater plugs. then yesterday i decided to take my cast net cause i always see finger mullets on the surface. i got 2 fingers, one missed bite and one 16" fat trout i might have to just live bait at this hole form now on.
