The 4pm advisory has IKE tracking further the north around Matagorda maybe even Freeport. Looks and sounds as if the storm may continue to track further north. Good news for us in POC and/or Port A.. not so good north.

Just out of curiosity, what category Hurricane are the buildings at the Nuclear Power Plant rated for? Most of those Tracks go awfully close to it.

I'm less worried about the plant itself than I am about the transmission lines it feeds.

Im very confused stormpulse says way north of CC pt a area, as do computer models, but forecast track on Wunderground still TX/LA border to TX/MEXICO border.

The storm has slowed down a little.. that's bad news for the upper coast..

KG2.. not sure what you're looking at exactly, but most, if not all, models are tracking IKE further north.. including the NHC.. which is stormpulses track..

check noaa's site and wundergrounds for forecast track, not happy to hear its moving north but its a relief down here

Every two to three hours. Now they will have two planes flying into the storm - one at high and one at low altitudes to get more accurate readings.

watching the weather channel right, the sob could hit anywhere on the texas coast. everyone should be careful.

Jim Cantore, the weather channel hurricane field ace, has moved to Galveston. I doubt he would have done that unless he thought it was going to see some action.
