A friend of mine with Minnesota origins (like me!), sent this story. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

If you had to recite "Song of Hiawatha" as a kid in school, imagine a shark patrolling "the laughing waters."

I did not read the article, but one thing caught my attention. Its a picture of STXHunter and his sharpnose shark that I took on 12-13-05. They used the image, manipulated it, and put it in this article. This leads me to believe that the article itself is BS.

two things tipped me off

Well, more than 2. First off is the laughing waters. Second is that the report from Wisconsin was "semi-classified". But it's a good story nevertheless, especially for a neighborhood paper.

It's dat Scandinavian humor, ja?

People do ice fish for sharks. They catch sleeper sharks and others.
