My house on Bolivar survived, but not without serious damage. I went down on Friday to "look and leave". I took some pictures and salvaged a few things but pretty much lost everything. I need a pro to look at the pics, or ride down there with me and tell me if the house is worth fixing and approx costs. The damage on Bolivar is unbelievable, I am still numb. My wife and I felt like we were sharing the same nightmare. I think every person that has gone down there has shed tears for themselves and others.

We had debated on taking a trip to go see Bolivar when they start to let people in but are torn...W are sure we will be so sad at all of the destruction. Sure will miss that ole beach!

Definitely take some time before you make a decision. I think you already knew of the consequences before moving down there. Remember, you only live once. My thoughts are you will rebuild once you let time heal the wounds.
