You can't completely blame it on the bull pen. How about Everett's great throw to start the leak and then Kent's blown throw to end the inning and give the one more. Of course the fact that they didn't get a hit in the middle innings didn't help matters any, either.
Beltran leads off the 9th with a double, Berkman K on a bad pitch, Kent K on a bad pitch and the Bagwell K on an outside pitch.
I'm going to sleep well tonight because the nightmare is over.

To quote Dandy Don Meredith, " Turn out the lights the party is over". It doesn't appear the "stros" can't catch a break or find a way to win. Took the family to Sunday's game and I thought "well maybe", the Rocket was pitching pretty good and the bats appeared to find the ball, the defense was good....BUT we have lost four of five since the allstar game, and the slide continues...........................!

Yep, its gotten ugly

I went to the game last night and it was like watching two different games. When Weathers came in I told my wife it was over and sho nuff, it was. The Mets are laughing over that deal. Seems like we have sold our souls and the bull pen paid for it. Only highlight for us was the line drive foul ball hit to me during BP. I didnt even have to stand up, it just came right to me. The Ensberg came around and signed autographs so I got it signed. Ive been going to games all my life and that was my first foul ball, kinda cool. Ensberg is a class act, after warm ups he came out and signed autographs for the kids until the pregame started. He walked down the wall on the first base line till every kid(including me) was taken care of. My Dad has season tickets on the first base line and this is the 3rd game Ive been to and he has done that every time. Not one other player came out but him. I was impressed. I still love going to that stadium but this team is stinking it up. Ive never heard so much booing in my life. Look for a total dismantle job this off season.

I was there Monday night. One of my good friends throws his tix my way once in a while. One aisle past first base, row five, seats 1,2,3,4. You certainly have to pay attention or get your head popped.

Trade deadline is July 31st, I think, Beltran will be gone for sure and I hope Kent is also never really much cared for that guy.

Talents There!!!

The Stro's have plenty of talent, though they lack a little team speed. Their problem comes from team chemistry, and that falls on management. This group is not having fun, and when you are not having fun, you press. Look at how much fun the Dodgers were having, and that leads to confidence. I was never a Jimmy Williams fan, and do not have much regard for Phil Garner. If you are going to change managers in the middle of the season, you either take somebody that is already a coach on the team and has some ideals on how to correct the problems, or you bring in somebody that is going create a more electrifying atmosphere to give the players a boost- I do not think Phil is that guy- Maybe Dr. Phil is!! :). The Dodgers get key hits late in the game and find ways to win, that is confidence. The stor's had their 3 best hitters come to the plate with a runner on 2nd, no outs, and down by 2, and all 3 struck out swinging at bad pitches- that is pressing- no confidence!!! It will be interesting to see what changes are made if things do not get better. Especially if they do not get better quickly!!!
