How many layer's do you wear under your breathable waders this time of year? It has been a while since I have fished when it is this cold...

Thanks!

Long Johns and Fleece pants. Sweatshirt and wading jacket. Will probably wear a thicker sweat shirt next time. On our last trip with the wind and drizzle after a while my back got cold, jacket didn't leak but the moisture on it made it pretty nippy.

Today on bottom I had under armor pants under my long johns w/ wool socks. On top I had a T shirt / silk long sleeve / long john top / long sleeve Columbia shirt / & my Simms rain parka & all of this this was all stuffed in my neoprenes. The Wadelites are on a shelf until at least April. I'd try to wear everything that will fit in breathables right now. Galveston bay water temp today is 48f. It was nice with the sun out today.

I hope all of you are wearing a life jacket and hookedup to your kill switches while you drive your boats with the waders on. There was an accident a year or so ago with a sudden loss of steering at high speed during a tournament. They both went into the 45 degree water, if those boys hadn't been wearing their safty equipment they might be dead. Wearing an inflatable life jacket or inflatable wadingvest while in waders is not a bad idea either. I might jerk your chains from time to time, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Snugg fitting waist belt is a must, especially while running a boat.
