Thinking of heading to LA. How is I-10 from Houston to Lake Charles area as far as driving/congestion goes? Is it fully operational as prior to storm? How is traffic heading west to LA? I'm sure many are still returning......

I drove it from Baytown to Sulphur and back 2 times in the last week, the latest being yesterday midday. All lanes are open and traffic has been light each time. Lots of power line crews and bucket truck convoys riding in the right lanes doing 55-60 cause some slows until you get past them.

Thanks for the info......... I just didn't want to get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and detours.

I drove to Lake Charles yesterday am and came back in the evening.

No problems either way.
