How I miss TTMB

I have something to share and I need to get it off of my chest. I miss TTMB very much. This new place... this new personality... it is not what we were - what we have been. It is angry and ugly at times. It is arrogant. It is just unkind and intolerant. The occassional disagreement has become the daily norm. Why? What has changed? It's an election year. We have had election years before. Our differing views have never divided us so.

Where are CoolChange, Walkin' Jack, Reel Woman, *********, Vitamin Sea, Becky, Fishnut, Farmer Jim, Bassfreaks, ReelWork, Frauline, EZ ED, bg?? The list could go on and on. I suspect to a large extent, that these folks are fading away because there is just a nasty mood to the board most days. They are still around. They are just not posting like they were.

Gary tried to get this point across the other day and it just went right back downhill. Let's try to get some of that magic back that has developed this great group of anglers into a great group of friends.

We've had one Gathering this year and this year will come and go, and we will have had only one Gathering

Eric, we have had 3 gatherings and 1 fundraiser this year so far, the year ain't over yet, we still have Flounder season....

1: April 17 Pregathering beach party (I set it up)

2: June 12 Beach gathering (Stargazer set it up)

3: May 15 TOBA fundfaiser (a bunch of us hosted) lol

4: July 31 POC gathering (you hosted)

Ok, lets get another planned, September might be nice weather ????

If we could get some of our music boys there it would really be a hoot......

Folks ya'll really need to think about this deal... It's a cool place with the BIGGEST burger you ever seen..... It's about 15 miles south of I-10 east, taking the Anahuac exit.... I'll let Mont give the directions this time...LMAO.....

Lets vote on the date, get a poll going as a sticky.... Your in charge of that too Monty, no matter what weekend, I'll be there, unless it's first weekend of deer season.......lol

Mont, that ramp is open day and night cause it's FREE.... Good ramp too..... Bait sales all around....Even Black Salties at Double Bayou Landing, by then the flounder outta be doin some movin'......Lottsa cuts and lake drains in that area which produce Big Flatties....

Jan, hope you can fit it in your schedule, it's been too long since you have been able to make it to a 2cool function......

I feel this would be a great time, nobody has to cook, the big deck is super fine.... the beer is frosty, and you can pull right up in your boat...

They have music outside, but I bet we could beg our pickin' , sangin' , get down and party homeboys to show up..... We can even give um a big OL' tip jar...LMAO

Well where is Jan ??? I remember last summer you were posting every few days asking if anyone was hitting the beach between access 5 and 6 or at the water tower.... Ain't seen you post a question like that in a long time, the surf has been perfect alot lately but still no Jan.... I always looked forward to your asking for someone to fish the surf with you, and was always waiting to hear talk about Spanish Macs and Trout.....

How long has it been since you have been bellybutton deep in the surf Jan ???? I like your old surf dancer avatar much better, and if you wanna pardner to recall the second bar at access 5, I would take vacation to join you.... The flat dog days of summer are hard to beat in the surf....
