Just curious with so many fires caused by apparent flooding if anyone knows the answer to this question. If you do not have flood insurance and your house floods causing an electrical fire in your home does your homeowners policy cover it? With so many loopholes in insurance policies, I wonder how this is handled.

That will all depend upon the arson investigators report. If they determine arson, there will be no insurance paid.

if there is arson, the mortgagor will be paid. It don't matter with them.

These fires can happen without arson, right? Sounds like it could really be an insurance nightmare for someone.
