I think I found the GPS I want. I fish on a lot of different boats so I think I am going with a handheld. I also do some other outdoor activities that I would like to use it for, but this will be mainly used while fishing. Its the Garmin Oregon 400c. Has anyone had any experience with this or have any insight on getting one? Thanks for any help!

Heres a link to it!

Do not know about this one. Looks good.

Not sure Garmin makes a bad product just some that are better than others.

Still have an old Garmin Legend (8 meg) that works well for kayaking and hunting. Used it the other day on 20,000 acre ranch in the Panhandle while mule deer hunting. Nice to have in the dark on a lot of land and oilfield roads thru the Caprock country.

I have a 545 on my boat that is great except for the lack of a Prime times set up.

400c

Easy to use
Screen is too small
Battery life is terrible
Mounting bracket is worthless
Battery compartment is hard to deal with
Color is good

It's an ok unit but wouldn't buy another
