Wife bought a large pork roast (like 9lbs) only way I have to cook it
is in the oven Any suggestions on seasonings or methods? Planned on
wrapping in foil and slow cooking for hours.
All help appreciated

if you aren't gonna smoke it, I like to use dry italian seasoning. Slow cook in the crock pot. Sautee some bell peppers and onions. Make a mean sandwich.

I know this is to late but next roast. brown the roast good on top of the stove.

salt and pepper to taste put roast in crock pot or baking pan in oven add two cans of mushroom soup add no water. can add onion , carrots, celery, and a few potatoes, cook till meat is tender about 325 degrees in the oven,


or if you cant stand mushroom soup then add water to the roast and cook till tender then thicken the water with flour to make a gravy.

Thanks everybody ended up seasoning with garlic cloves, Italian dressing
lemon pepper let it marinate several hours .Put it a roasting pan covered with foil.Cooked at 275 for about 4-1/2 hrs just fell off the bone.Turned out great
