My brother, who is a Journeyman Electrical Power Lineman, left Denver this morning at 6 am as part of a convoy of electricians heading to Texas to help get the power back up and running. He just got home on Wednesday from working on the clean up after Gustav.

I'm a lineman as well and we are getting ready to head east out of San Antonio. I too returned from LA on wed. after restoring Gustav power outages. Was in the Valley and Florida before that for Dolly and Fay. I hope your brother returns home safely. It's been a busy season.

You know there is more than just returning power to homes that you are impacting. Large companies can get their stuff going on their own but I can't do as much to help the plants until I get home. If utilities aren't back I have to spend time helping the extended family cope. I can work from home if everything is working there.

Anyhow, what I am saying is thanks for getting our homes and businesses back on line and that you impact those huge companies that make money for the local employees, shareholders (anybody with a 401K or retirement investments,) local cities, states, and even our country!
